  Wasn't there a new feature in sql 2012 that would allow you to create backups to your local computer?

  I would feel MUCH better is this was handled professionally as well. I'd even pay for an addon to have this functionality. I don't understand how people can run a business on this platform without proper backups.

  I would feel so much better about all this autodeploy magic (and auto migrations via EF CF) if I could download backups occasionally, or have them dropped into my Dropbox or something periodically.

  This is a MUST. What if my database cluseter fails or gets corrupted? does that mean I will loose my data? forever?

  What if I want to move back in time, say a 2 hours back.

  This would be a great feature to have, as it can take a while (and is often error prone) to get data off and on databases in other ways.
